New Financial Statements Formats

Pursuant to the entry into force of the amendment to the Accounting Act, which, among other things, re-regulates the technical standards for financial reporting, new formats for financial reports are in effect this year. They vary depending on whether the entity that prepares them is an issuer, that is, an entity whose securities are admitted to trading on a regulated market, or not. The format also depends on the type of the report. Please find below more details regarding this issue:

1/ Issuers of securities (regulated market) applying the Polish accounting principles:

  •  financial statements - XHTML format

2/ Issuers of securities (regulated market) applying the International Accounting Standards:

  • financial statements - XHTML format
  • consolidated financial statements – XHTML format, additionally labelling the report using the Inline XBRL markup language and the taxonomy described in the European Union Commission Regulation 2019/815

3/ Non-issuers applying the Accounting Act

  • financial statements - unchanged, in electronic form
  • financial statements of entities entered into the National Court Register (KRS) - XML format

4/ Non-issuers applying the International Accounting Standards

  • individual financial statements – XHTML or other searchable format
  • consolidated financial statements – XHTML format; they can be labelled using the Inline XBRL markup language
